I am 32 years old, married, no kids. I live in Massachusetts and work full time in Payroll/HR. I have 3 turtles, 3 fish tanks, two dogs, two cats, and one anole. Keeps me busy!

My husband is diagnosed (currently untreated) ADHD and I am bringing this front and center in my life. It's such a complicated disorder and I am working very hard to make both our lives easier. Since ADHD affects everything, financial issues can certainly be a problem.

I do not get offended easily, so please, comment as you wish! :)

Tapeworms & $100 poorer

On Saturday I discovered that my beloved mutt has tapeworms! Don't ask, but EWW! Fairly "easy" fix, but I'm nearly $100 poorer after a trip to the vet. Three weeks from now, another $17 for her 2nd dose of pills. At least it's a free tech visit and just the cost of pills. Oh well, this is why I have almost $1000 in my mutt account, right? I usually don't touch that money if there's enough in checking to cover the charge in the first place. Smile So soon enough this smiling face will be worm free!

Here she is helping me with laundry over the weekend.

Well after walking dogs and wrestling a cat into a cat carrier, my evening was over! Just finishing up a yummy salad and relaxing before DH gets home from work. My mutt forgave me for dragging her to the vet, so all is well.

I've self diagnosed my cats tapeworms and bought the meds off the internet. I think less than $20 with shipping. One pill and she's been fine for a couple of years now!

I self diagnosed the tapeworms too - unfortunately easy to diagnose! She needed her rabies shot anyways. Just having someone else get a pill in her is WELL worth it! Plus I now know about "flea dust" and that we "have fleas" even though none are actually present.

Ha ha ha... sorry! I grew up with cats and my dad always called them "mutts". This was long before the Mutts comic strip existed. There are four mutts in this house - two of each. This one has been here the longest and is my best friend - in case you couldn't tell.
